This Week's Pictures

I haven't had much time to do post, but here are some pictures that I have taken in Umbria over the past week and a half. I am doing this after a full day of making vegetable boxes out of some pretty heavy stones and an afternoon of wild asparagus hunting in which I got separated from the group, and while they were out searching for me I was busy building a nice warm fire (and getting even dirtier than I was before in the process). The fire is now as warm as I am dirty.

Flowers from a nearby town.

The farm land and surrounding landscape, for the most part, looks like this everywhere. It is beautiful.

The farmland again.

And one more time, just for good measure.

The fire I am sitting by.

Wild asparagus hunting...that's now on of my list of things to do in life because it is wonderful. does wild asparagus taste the same and does it make your pee smell?
and fire building- I will no longer be wary if you are the leader for a camping expedition.

Wild asparagus tastes better, and it does make your pee smell... I think it makes it smell worse, so in the end all is even.

Camp fires are different than wood stove fires, so you might need to still be wary. Also, this time I had an axe which is super helpful. Next time we bring one.

HT,

Glad you didn't get too lost on your veggie hunt. I was hiking Mt. Hollywood, up by the Observatory where we went, and had my own nature run in -- coyotes. I could hear them howling at dusk. Camping out here would be both fun and way more frightening than back east.

Being dirty is awesome, channel your inner child.

XOXO,

MT
